Handi Achaari Chops

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Mutton chops 1 kg
  • Tomato 250 gm chopped
  • Onion 1 large chopped
  • Ginger garlic 2 tbsp.
  • Onion seeds 1/2 tsp. heaped
  • Cumin roasted and crushed 1 1/2 tsp.
  • Coriander seeds roasted and crushed 1 tsp.
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp.
  • Green chillies 6 whole
  • Anise seeds roasted and coarsely ground 1 1/2 tsp.
  • Kasoori meethi 1 tsp.
  • Fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp.
  • Kisan Sunflower Cooking Oil 1/2 cup
  • Salt 1 1/2 tsp.
  • Chilli powder 2 tsp.
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp.

Recipe Method: 

  • Coarsely crushed together anise seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, onion seeds and fenugreek seeds.
  • Heat oil in the pan.
  • Add chopped onion fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, chopped tomatoes with salt, chilli powder and turmeric, fry well.
  • Add in par boiled chops with half cup water, put the lid on and let it simmer.
  • Add in all the coarsely crushed seeds with lemon juice and green chillies, leave it on dum (indirect slow cooking technique), till oil comes on top.
  • Serve hot with naan.
