Gujrati Murgh Roast

Recipe Ingredients: 

  • Chicken 1 kg whole
  • Raw papaya 1 tsp.
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp.
  • Salt 1 1/2 tsp.
  • Chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp.
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Brown onion grinded 2 tbsp.
  • Kisan Canola Cooking Oil 1/2 cup
  • Yellow colour pinch
  • Peanuts 1 tbsp.
  • Poppy seeds 1 tsp.
  • Sesame seeds 1 tsp.
  • Desiccated coconut 1 tbsp.
  • White cumin 1 tsp.
  • Roasted gram 1 tbsp.

For Baghar

  • Whole red pepper 6
  • Cumin 1 tsp.
  • Curry leaves 12

Recipe Method:

  • Grind and roast peanuts, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, desiccated coconut and cumin. Mix with roasted gram.
  • Marinate chicken with raw papaya, ginger garlic, salt, chilli powder, yogurt, brown onion (grinded) and yellow food colour.
  • Leave it for 2 hours.
  • Put the chicken on a pot, cover the lid and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes
  • Prepare baghar in heat oil.
  • Serve with boiled eggs and french fries.
