Chili Beef Basil

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Kisan Canola Cooking Oil 3 tbsp.
  • Basil leaves fresh 15- 20
  • Undercut beef 275 gm.
  • Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp.
  • Dark brown sugar 1 tsp.
  • Fresh red chillies sliced into rings 2
  • Garlic cloves chopped 3
  • Ginger paste 1 tsp.
  • Small onion finely sliced 1
  • Finely chopped basil leaves for garnish 2 tbsp.
  • Lemon juice few
  • Salt to taste
  • Crushed black pepper to taste

Recipe Method: 

  • Heat oil in the wok.
  • Add basil leaves and fry for about 1 minute until crisp and golden. Drain on a kitchen towel.
  • Cut the undercut into thin strips.
  • Add strips to the Mixture of Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar in a bowl. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Reheat the oil in the pan until hot, add the chilli, garlic, ginger and onion and stir-fry for a minute.
  • Add the beef and chopped basil, then stir-fry for about 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
  • Toss well. Transfer into the serving platter and sprinkle the crisp basil leaves on top.
  • Serve with rice.
