Chicken Cheese Handi

Recipe Description: 

This deeply flavored and rich chicken handi is all love. Have it with hot coriander naan and feel the consistency of spices, cheese, and gravy in every indulging bite.

Recipe Ingredients:

 

  • Boneless chicken 1/2 kg
  • Onion 1 large
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp.
  • Chilli powder 1/2 tsp.
  • Water 2 cups
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Ghee 2 tbsp.
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp.
  • Kisan Sunflower Cooking Oil 1/2 cup
  • Crushed garlic 1 tbsp.
  • White cumin seeds 1 tsp.
  • Tomatoes 2 chopped
  • Crushed red pepper 1 tsp. heaped
  • Roasted and crushed cumin 1 tsp.
  • Allspice 1 tsp.
  • Chilli sauce 1 tbsp.
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp.
  • Butter 2 tbsp.
  • Cream 2 tbsp.
  • Pinch of zarda colour
  • Grated cheddar cheese 3 tbsp.
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp.
  • Green chillies 2 chopped

 

Recipe Method: 

 

  • Boil two cups of water.
  • Add 1 onion, turmeric, chilli powder, tomatoes, ghee and yogurt and leave it for 15 minutes and the blend everything together.
  • Heat oil in a handi, add crushed garlic and white cumin seeds, till light brown.
  • Now add blended onion mixture.
  • Add chicken and simmer on low heat.
  • Lastly add allspice, chilli sauce, soya sauce, butter, cream, yellow colour and grated cheese, and put it on dum (indirect slow cooking technique).
  • Garnish it with chopped coriander and green chillies.
  • Serve hot.
