Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 jar (28 ounces) spaghetti sauce
- 1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
- 1 package (3-1/2 ounces) sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup kisan sunflower cooking oil
- 8 ounces spiral pasta, cooked and drained
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 ounces provolone cheese, shredded
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Recipe Method:
- In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion, green pepper and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain. Add spaghetti sauce, mushrooms and pepperoni.
- In a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish, layer half of the pasta and beef mixture. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup each mozzarella and provolone. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 30-35 minutes or until heated through. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Yield: 6-8 servings.
