Recipe Description:
Enjoy the Dum Pukht with thick gravy having a rich taste of sesame and poppy seeds at the base. The flavor of nuts in the gravy is going to leave your taste buds wanting more.
Recipe Ingredients:
- Chicken 1 kg 8 pieces
- Kisan Canola Cooking Oil 1/2 cup
- Sesame seeds 1 tsp.
- Poppy seeds 1 tsp.
- Peanut 1 tbsp.
- Gratted coconut 1 tbsp.
- Almonds blanched 8
- White cumin seeds 1 tsp.
- Chopped onion 1 cup
- Curry leaves 15
- Fenugreek leaves (meethi) 1/4 tsp.
- Black pepper 6
- Green cardamom 4
- Cinnamon 1 inch piece
- Cloves 6
- Ginger garlic 1 tbsp.
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Salt 1 1/2 tsp.
- Chilli powder 2 tsp.
- Tomato slices for garnishing
Recipe Method:
- Grind and grate roast sesame seeds, poppy seeds, peanuts, coconuts and almonds, altogether.
- Add cumin seeds, curry leaves, fenugreek seeds, whole spices and chopped onion, in heated oil.
- Add salt, chilli, grinded masala, ginger and garlic paste with yogurt and cook till the oil is separated.
- Lastly, add the chicken, cover the pot with a lid and cook on a very low flame.
- Garnish with tomato slices. Serve hot.
