Recipe Ingredients :
- Butter 4 ounces
- Sugar 6 ounces
- Eggs 2
- Flour 5 ounces heaped
- Baking powder 1 tsp.
- Baking soda pinch
- Buttermilk 1/2 cup
- Caramel essence few drops
For Caramel Almonds Topping
- Almonds toasted 3/4 cup
- Sugar 3/4 cup
- Cream 1/3 cup
- Salt 1 pinch
- Butter 1 tbsp. heaped
- Caramel Essence few drops
Recipe Method:
- Grease an 8-inch cake pan, sieve together flour, baking powder, and soda, beat butter and sugar till creamy, add eggs one at a time, beat well add essence, fold in the flour with buttermilk, alternating both, bake for 30 minutes on 180 degrees.
Method for topping
- Caramelize sugar add cream, salt, butter, essence, fold in chopped roasted almonds, pour over cake.
